BCRHHR professionals have been involved in a variety of advocacy initiatives including increased access to female immigration officers for survivors of sexual violence, elimination of the United State’s role in torture and moderation of the Real ID act. One of our focuses has been to provide holistic services to unaccompanied minors seeking asylum and expediting family reunification after asylum approval. We have also advocated for the reduction of the 150 day wait for authorization to work.
